Umno is still strong and striving through all the challenges it’s due to the practise of ‘wala’ principle and loyalty towards the party and government institution.
Its president Najib Razak in his presidential speech touched the ‘wala’ principle and loyalty should not only be given to the body and soul, but to the whole institution itself.
He urged all the Umno members to adopt this practise and show the loyalty to the party, government institution and country.
Najib highlighted the manner opposition spreading lies and spin matters mainly on 1MDB, subsidy rationalisation, GST, currency speculation, economy down turn has not shaken him and the institution.
“Many lies were thrown at me. Even former prime minister and others statesmen who used to be friends in the party have started to throw allegations on me.
“But I have been very patience and I deal with mature politics.
“We should not go below to their level. We have our own standard
“Even during Rasululah era, he had so many challenges but his patience made him to win.” highlighted Najib.
Najib said Umno has always supported Mahathir Mohamed throughout the 22 years he was prime minister but he has now betrayed the party.
Even during the 1987 feud which split the party into Team A and Team B, Umno members stood behind Mahathir.
Najib personally moved his youth wing back then to support Mahathir.
In 1997, during the Asian financial crisis, again Umno members stood behind Mahathir’s policies.
But today Mahathir involves in despicable acts and conspiring with the DAP, Bersih, Parti Amanah Negara, PKR and “foreign enemies of the country,” including ‘currency speculator’ George Soros.
This is the worst betrayal towards Umno, our race and our nation stressed Najib.
