Umno youth exco member Armand Azha Abu Hanifah has been released today noon from Dang Wangi district police station.

He was released around 12.15pm.

After his release, Armand met the reporters, thanked the police, his lawyers and media for giving a positive coverage and co-operation.

According to Armand he was ready to be arrested by the police for the sake of ‘Saving Malaysia’.

He also strongly denied that Red Shirts movement created chaos and provoked the Yellow shirts movement on Saturday.

Armand also shared his moments when he was put together in the same lock-up with Yellow shirts supporters mainly Pasir Pinji state assemblyman Howard Lee, Bersih steering committee member Hishamuddin Rais and artist Fahmi Reza.

Armand revealed that he shared positive moments with the Yellow shirts supporters in making Malaysia a peaceful country.

Armand vowed he will continue his struggle with Red Shirt to ‘Save Malaysia’ and defend the parliament sovereignty.

Around 10 Red Shirt members gathered in front of Dang Wangi police station to give moral support to Armand.

Armand was arrested on Saturday during the Red Shirt rally at Padang Merbok.

He took charge of the Red Shirts movement on Saturday following the arrest of its leader Jamal Yunos.
