The Tanjong Datu by-election will be a three-way fight, reported The Star Online.
The candidates are Jamilah Anu (Barisan Nasional), Rapelson Richard Hamit (PBDS Baru) and Johnny Bob Aput (State Reform Party Sarawak).
Asbor Abdullah, an independent, had his nomination paper rejected.
The announcement was made by returning officer Hamsien Atar at 10.15am today.
Earlier, Jamilah, dressed in black arrived at the Lundu Community Hall nomination centre and was accompanied by BN supporters.
She is the widow of the late chief minister Adenan Satem, who died on Jan 11 due to heart complications.
Adenan, who was incumbent for the Tanjong Datu seat, retained the seat in last year’s state elections with a 5,892-vote majority over PKR’s Jazolkipli Numan, who polled 468 votes.
Polling day is Feb 18 with early voting on Feb 12.
