‘Thaipusam Spraying Group’ fiasco: Businessman charged with disturbing religious ceremony

The person behind the ‘Thaipusam Spraying Group’ Facebook page has been charged in court with disturbing a religious ceremony.

According to The Star Online, Saravana Ramasenderan claimed trial at the Sungai Besar Magistrate Court today.

The case has been set for mention on March 3.

The 29-year-old businessman was charged under Section 296 of the Penal Code and was released on RM3,000 bail.

Earlier, folks on social media, especially Indian women were angered over the Facebook page as it issued a warning to Indian women attending the upcoming Thaipusam celebration.

In a post on the page, a threat was issued to spray women who wore sexy sarees with paint.
