A Facebook netizen insulted the new King Sultan Muhammad V to step down from his position if he’s only interested to do prayers (solat) and portraying as a religious man.

‘Penadaritanahmelayu’ blog managed to capture the Facebook posting and viralled it, receiving brickbats from the netizen.

The blog strongly criticised his comments and urged the police to take a serious action on him.

The netizen is identified as Mohd Faiz based on his Facebook profile.

In his first posting, Faiz said that even though the new king very active in prayers, insulted him asking, “So What”, What the people gain?.

He added that being spiritual will not help and it’s better to do more social service for the people.

In his second Facebook posting, he added that nothing wrong to perform prayers and be a spiritual man, but better step down as the King.

He pointed out the responsibility being a King is to be horizontal.

However, later realising his grave mistake in insulting the King and facing the repercussions, Faiz issued an apology in his Facebook posting.

He also removed the previous posting based on Malaysia Outlook’s check.

He apologised to the new King and the Malaysian people for issuing such a statement.
