Ampang PKR Youth chief Adam Rosly remand order under the custody of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been extended to another four days.
Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman ordered Adam, 28, who had been remanded for five days since April 14, to serve his remand extension beginning Wednesday.
MACC is investigating Adam under Section 4(1) of the Anti-Money-Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act (AMLATFA) 2001 over his extraordinary wealth.
Thanks to Red Shirt leader Jamal Yunos, Adam found himself at the centre of a controversy over the legitimacy of his wealth.
Jamal exposed that Adam, who is a ‘Datuk’, owned a “castle-like” home and luxury cars despite his young age.
He was detained on April 13 when he turned up at the MACC headquarters at Putrajaya to record his statement to assist investigations into his assets.
