Former PKR firebrand orator Badrul Hisham Shaharin has today predicted that his former party would be crippled soon in Sabah due to defections.

Badrul, commonly known as Chegu Bard, predicted many PKR members would follow Penampang MP Darell Leiking to join former Umno vice president Shafie Apdal’s Sabah-based party.

He said his latest info suggested that PKR Sabah leaders and members would soon declare to join the soon-to-be announced Shafie’s party.

“PKR Sabah will eventually be crippled,” said Badrul, who was sacked from PKR recently, in a text message.

Badrul recalled that Shafie originally claimed that he would trigger an exodus of Umno members to his party and eventually cripple Umno in Sabah.

“But this did not happen. Instead Shafie hijacked PKR leaders to his party,” said Badrul, taking a swipe at PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail for praising the defection of Darell.

He said Dr Wan Azizah indirectly had stated that PKR had failed to function as local party for Sabahans, adding that he had predicted the defections early this month.

Speculations have rife that PKR’s Moyog assemblyman Terrence Siambun, also intends to quit PKR and join Shafie.
