Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) have been advised to be clear on the basis of their struggles.
In saying that, PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man also advised PH to not contest in Kelantan in the upcoming general election.
In a report by Harakah Online, Tuan Ibrahim asked who is the Opposition coalition trying to bring down, whether it is Umno or others.
“If their aim is to bring down Umno, then Umno in Kelantan has been brought down a long time ago,” he said, pointing out that PAS has been ruling the state for more than 26 years.
He added that in the context of Kelantan, it must be determined if one is setting up a party to bring down Umno or to defend Umno.
Previously, Pribumi information chief Kamaruddin Md Noor said a three-cornered fight may happen because PAS has yet to decide on its relationship with Pribumi.
This would include coming up against PAS in Kelantan if a cooperation between the two could not be reached, Kamaruddin had said.
Admitting that PAS has yet to make an official stand on the matter, Tuan Ibrahim said a meeting will be held next month.
Any decisions of joining the Opposition coalition will be made during the meeting, he said.
