No compromise on integrity breach – Immigration DG

Jan 11, 2017

The Immigration Department will not compromise with officers who breach integrity and tarnish the good image and name of the department, says director-general Mustafar Ali.

He said the department would ensure that stern action was taken against personnel found to have breached integrity.

Commenting on the arrest of four Selangor Immigration Department officers by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday, he said the department, through its intelligence work and internal audit, had detected their action and shared the information with the commission.

He said stern action including termination of employment would also be taken against those officers found guilty.

About 3.30pm yesterday, the four officers were detained by the MACC in connection with allegedly submitting receipts containing falsified Persons With Disabilities information in the application for Malaysian passports.– Bernama
