Sacked deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement on 1Malaysia Development Bhd went contrary to those he had made when he was in the cabinet.
Umno Information chief Annuar Musa said Muhyiddin claims to have made criticisms when in the Cabinet but never expressed anything firmly at Umno Supreme Council meetings or other official meetings.
He was mostly silent on many issues that he is raising now Annuar told reporters at the Parliament lobby.
Annuar also expressed his disappointment with the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president for not giving him the opportunity to interrupt and respond to the allegations he had made.
“A big chunk of Muhyiddin’s speech came only as a result of having been fired from the party and included his views after joining the opposition.
“Until now, he has chosen to maintain a monologue and this does not reflect the exemplary values of a good parliamentarian,” he added.
