Police confirmed the arrest of a man believed to be relevant in the investigation of missing Pastor Raymond Koh Keng Joo.

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar told this to reporters at a press conference in Bukit Aman today.

The Star Online reported that the IGP informed the suspect was detained in the northern part of the Peninsular.

Khalid also denied that the police were sitting on the case of the missing pastor, stressing that efforts to locate Koh is ongoing.

He also warned certain quarters not to make allegations without proof, with regards to claims that authorities were connected to the pastor’s abduction.

Apart from that, Khalid said police were also investigating to determine whether or not Koh’s abduction had any connection to allegations that he was attempting to proselytise Muslims.

“We have to investigate as a police report has been made,” he was quoted as saying by The Star Online.

Koh was said to have been abducted on Feb 13 by a group of men in Kelana Jaya. Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage, Koh was taken from his car by at least five men wearing masks.
