Celebrated Illustrator and ink evangelist, Johanna Basford’s mission statement is to make the world a happier and more creative place through colouring.
In 2013, when Basford’s bestselling book “Secret Garden” debuted; it sparked a worldwide adult-colouring phenomenon.
The charm of the “Secret Garden” was the inky treasure hunt in the illustrations hidden within the many curiosities and creatures in the pages.
Grownups become little children and fall in love with the magical pass time of colouring all over again.
Basford said she was inspired by Westin Hotels & Resorts’ Feel Well pillar branding aimed to help guests to relax and unwind on the road.
The Scot’s contribution and collaboration with the hotel was timely as she was able to highlight the unique and thoughtful touches that were part of the well-being pillars.

Westin has programs designed to help guests achieve well-being around six pillars: Eat Well, Sleep Well, Move Well, Play Well, Work Well and Feel Well.
“Colouring is a therapeutic exercise that has been proven to promote mindfulness and relaxation.

Marriott International Asia Pacific brand management vice president Nelli Yong said guests would welcome a mindful colouring sheet in their room at Westin Hotels & Resorts across the Asia-Pacific.
“We’ve been getting positive responses since the September partnership announcement and are now even more excited to introduce these designs by Johanna Basford.

The first colouring sheet depicts a heart-shaped image, focusing on the importance of sleeping well.
Westin brand’s signature botanical style of lush gardens, exotic flowers, leafy foliage and dancing butterflies is captured in the second sheet.
Inspired by the intrepid globetrotter, the third illustration offers a myriad of digital gadgets, maps and other travel essentials to stay fit on the road.
These specially designed adult colouring sheets are now available at Westin Hotels and Resorts across Asia Pacific until end February 2017.
