Mahathir whines over CIA report

Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Mahathir Mohamad began to whine today after learning the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) report names his administration’s possible involvement in the Bumiputera Malaysia Finance Limited (BMF) scandal.

Mahathir whining about the CIA is persecuting him because of his critique of US policy is like the bully who is fine when he was picking on others, but complains when the tables were turned and he got what everyone knows he deserved.

The irony is that over the last several years, Mahathir and his cohorts which included Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, former Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Muhyiddin Yassin and a host of others making up DAP-led Pakatan Harapan have been on an endless campaign to smear the name and reputation of Prime Minister (PM) Najib Razak.

What makes the case against Mahathir’s administration particularly ironic is that the CIA report links to a financial Bumiputera Malaysia Finance Limited (BMF) scandal, which is what Mahathir and co-conspirators tried without success to do to Prime Minister Najib Razak; link him to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The anti-Najib group had even gone as far as trying to elicit the US Justice Department (DOJ) to say the PM was somehow involved in misappropriating 1MDB funds.

However, Mahathir came up empty in that scheme as DOJ did not name the PM in its report.

In stark contrast to Mahathir’s rants, WSJ fabrications and other manufactured allegations against the PM, what many have noted was that the PM has never whined.

Conversely, when Mahathir or his administration is put under a microscope, he cries, complains or say that he was being demonetised.

Mahathir’s response to today’s CIA report, Mahathir report was no different.

Mahathir says that the report was political and that some people might benefit from it.

It is very strange how Mahathir does not see how every action he embarked on was political and for carried out so that he can get his son Mukhriz to become PM.

Apparently Mahathir sees it as acceptable to slander others, but believes that he should be not criticised.

There is an old expression that says that those in glass houses should not throw stones.

Now some of those stones that Mahathir has thrown at Najib are coming back smashing his already damaged legacy. – The Malaysian Observer Blog
