Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Khairul Azman Harun (Right) will be his successor if he has the support from party members.

Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin says his deputy, Khairul Azman Harun better known as Azman Bro would succeed him, provided he has the support of party members.

Saying this is his last term as Umno youth chief, he advised members to ignore the party election and focus on the 14th general election (GE14).

“I am serving notice,” Bernama reported as the youth and sports minister told reporters at the Umno Youth general assembly in Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Asked about the challenge by Pribumi in GE14, Khairy said they do not take it lightly and would try to win over the young.

He fears that some Umno members might have sympathy for the former leader helming the new political party.

“That is why we have to send a clear message, once you are out of Umno, we have to draw the line and we have to fight.

“There is no place for people who are secretly sympathetic towards them.

“You have to be very clear about your loyalty and your support,” he added.
