Johor princess set to marry in August

JOHOR BARU: The marriage between Johor Princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim to Dennis Muhammad Abdullah is set to take place on Aug 14, reported The Star Online.

It quoted state Royal Council president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli as saying that Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah consented and gave their blessings for the wedding to take place.

The betrothal ceremony will be at 10am on Aug 14 at Istana Bukit Serene.

This would be followed by the solemnisation ceremony.

“His Royal Highness has consented for the state Mufti Datuk Muhammad Tahrir Shamsudin to conduct the ceremony as his official representative,” he was quoted as telling reporters.

A bersanding ceremony will be held on the same day at 8pm at the Istana Besar’s throne room.

Tunku Tun Aminah, who is the only daughter of the royal couple, was born on April 8, 1986 while Dennis Muhammad was born Dennis Verbaas on May 1, 1989, in Lisse, a town near Amsterdam, Holland.

He embraced Islam on May 31, 2015.

Prior to becoming Tampines Rovers Football Club marketing manager in Singapore, he was a semi-professional footballer and served as the JDT Concept Store and Cafe manager.
