Is Mahathir going to ask Trump to step down?

 |Jan 21, 2017
Mahathir - Donald Trump.
Mahathir – Donald Trump.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States yesterday as an anti-Trump demonstration in Washington turned into a riot.

Donald Trump became president although he won three million votes less than Hillary Clinton and against an approval rating of only 37%.

Going by Mahathir’s yardstick, a prime minister or leader who wins the election with a minority vote and an approval rating of less than 50% is an illegal prime minister or leader.

So is Mahathir going to demand President Trump’s resignation or is he going to accept the reality that a democratic system of government does not always work on the basis of majority vote or more than 50% approval rating.
