A prominent political commentator today has taken Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari to task for claiming to be a Malay when he was born to Chinese parents.

Azizi Safar questioned on whether Zairil was ashamed to admit that he was a Chinese or whether the DAP politician was a confused lad not knowing whether he was a Chinese or a Malay.

“Zairil himself does not even know whether he is a Chinese or a Malay?

“If you say Zairil is a Malay, then Ridhuan Tee is also a Malay. Pity Zairil, he is one very confused bloke.

“Another question to Zairil. Are you ashamed being born a Chinese? Not proud of your own roots?” asked Azizi.

Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah is a lecturer in a public university, a Muslim preacher and writer and was born as Tee Chuan Seng.

Azizi revealed that it was an open secret that Zairil was originally born as Christopher Ross Lim and both his biological father and mother were Chinese.

He disclosed that the late Khir Johari adopted Christopher Ross Lim as his son after he married Christopher’s mother Christine Lim in 1996, and changed his name to Zairil Khir Johari.

“Christopher Lim was 13 at the time. And his name has no ‘Bin’,” said Azizi.

He also questioned the DAP’s motive and intention to portray the Chinese Christopher Ross Lim as the Malay Zairil Khir Johari.

He also blasted Zairil for claiming to be a Malay leader in the DAP when he was not.

“Why is DAP taking all the troubles to portray Zairil as a Malay, if DAP is really a race-blind or colour blind, or whatever, the party as they claimed they are?

“And Zairil … you are not a leader in DAP.. you are just another one of Lim Guan Eng’s bootlicker in DAP. A poster boy… and an impostor,” slammed Azizi.
