Hitachi Sunway-Tata Communications merger offers better network services

Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn Bhd (Hitachi Sunway) today announced a partnership with Tata Communications.

With this partnership, Hitachi Sunway will now be able to provide its more than 1000 enterprise customers in Asean access to Tata Communications’ robust portfolio of Managed Network Services, Managed Security Services and Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) offerings.

“We are honoured to be Tata Communications’ chosen partner in Asean.

“With Tata Communications on board, we will be able to strengthen our network services offerings throughout the region by offering a wide range of globally recognised telecommunication products and managed services,” said Cheah Kok Hoong, group CEO and director of Hitachi Sunway.

Customers can expect to access a variety of solutions for MPLS, cloud security and more, he added.

At the same time, he said Tata Communications would be able to extend their influence in the region through Hitachi Sunway’s wide network of customers that span across the region.

Meanwhile, Sumeet Walia, Global Head-Enterprise Business of Tata Communications said that in the past year, Tata Communications had continued to invest in a broad range of service expansion.

“Our strategic partnerships are a key component of this strategy.

“Hitachi Sunway’s regional presence and credibility were the reasons we picked them as our partner here in Asean and we are pleased to be working with them to expand our footprint in the region,” he said.
