Inspector General of Police, Khalid Abu Bakar today revealed that the police had arrested Mohd Ali Baharom also known as ‘Ali Tinju’, who was subsequently released on bail, denying any double standards practised by the police.
He said this when reporters queried him for practising double-standard by only arresting Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi following his remark on the late Haron Din of PAS.
According to Khalid, Ali Tinju surrendered himself and was released after his statement taken.
Ali Tinju is investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code pertaining to criminal intimidation.
