DAP should stop playing drama and admit its past mistakes of backing PAS and its Islamic agenda.
MIC youth chief C. Sivarraajh said the DAP should publicly apologise for misleading the people when it supported PAS Islamic agenda in 2013.
He was referring to a three-minute video footage, which had gone viral in the social media, that revealed the DAP support to PAS hudud agenda during the 2013 general election campaign.
The video showed the DAP national organising secretary and Seremban MP Anthony Loke giving a speech at a rally prior to GE13.
Anthony was seen telling his audience not to fear hudud punishments of ‘cutting off hands and legs’ so long one does steal or rob others.
“DAP is good at spinning and misleading the public on petty issues.
“But when comes to its core issue, the party will out-rightly dismissed it as a blatant lie or claim that its statement was misconstrued,” Sivarraajh said in a statement today.
He said that MIC hoped the people by now will understand the false and cheap propaganda tactics adopted by DAP to spin issues.
“We want DAP to openly apologise for its gross misconduct for supporting PAS and endorsing back then its hudud laws.
“DAP is the one to be blamed for making PAS stronger today,” said Sivarraajh, stressing that DAP should stop blaming others and learn to practise matured politics.
