Chelsea midfielder Oscar is joining Chinese Super League football club Shanghai SIPG for a fee of around £52million.
The Brazilian midfielder has fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte, and hasn’t started an English Premier League game since mid-September.
Now he is being given a way out by the Chinese side, who also have Brazilian striker Hulk in their squad and are managed by former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas.
Hulk is believed to be on a wage of £320,000, and cost the CSL’s current record transfer fee when he joined.
Oscar’s fee will eclipse that by around £5m, as he becomes the third big-name former Chelsea player currently in China following Demba Ba and Ramires.
Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka have also had stints in the country.
Oscar has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012, playing over 200 games for the club in all competitions.
He has won one Premier League title, the Europa League and the League Cup, as well as twice winning the club’s goal of the season.
The Brazilian has been capped 48 times for his country, winning the confederations cup and an Olympic silver medal back in 2012. – Mail Online
