The Bukit Aman police has recorded statement from DAP councillor M Satees over his Facebook posting against Sultan of Johor.
Satees accompanied by his lawyer J. Gunamalar exited the federal police headquarters around 5pm.
Speaking to reporters, Satees said the police had recorded statements from him and he given full co-operation to them.
Gunamalar, who spoke on Satees’s behalf, said seven police reports had been made against her client.
“My client has given the full co-operation to the police and we will wait for the outcome of the investigation.
“During the statement taking, the police asked on the content of the message uploaded on Facebook,” said Gunamalar.
When asked whether the police will charge him in the future, Gunamalar said that let the police complete their investigation.
Police took about two hours to record Satees’ statement and interrogate him.
Investigating officer Wan Aidil from the Prosecution and Legal (D5) division interrogated Satees.
Gunamalar said his client was being investigated under Section 4(1) of Sedition Act and Section 233 of Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.
In his Facebook posting, Satees has “told off” Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar that His Royal Highness had no power to stop anyone from taking part in peaceful assembly in Johor.
