Increase in investments and support trading activities among small and medium enterprises are proposals made by Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) for the upcoming Budget 2017.
It’s minister Mustapa Mohamed said their proposals have been structured in a manner that we believe can help spur Malaysia’s economic growth.
He was speaking to reporters after launching the ministry’s Open Day.
Mustapa said Budget 2017 to be tabled by Prime Minister Najib Razak in Parliament this Friday, is the biggest economic instrument of the year.
“Among the issues highlighted is the cost of doing business.
“We hope this issue can be addressed as companies are becoming anxious and less competitive, which is impacting exports,” he added.
