Newly-minted Pakatan Harapan vice-president Mohamed Azmin Ali pledged his support for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s leadership to realise the coalition’s goal of attaining Putrajaya.
In a statement today, Mohamed Azmin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar congratulated Dr Mahathir on his appointment as Pakatan Harapan chairman after obtaining ‘strong support’ from all members of the coalition.
“This appointment is very significant towards strengthening Pakatan Harapan, at the same time giving it direction, focus and leadership in this cooperation leading up to the 14th General Election,” Mohamed Azmin said.
“I believe with this development, it will end all speculation and questions on the unity and cooperation of Pakatan Harapan in facing the general election and in carrying out the rakyat’s aspirations,” he added.
Pakatan Harapan today announced its new leadership line-up, with jailed Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the coalition’s de facto leader (ketua umum).
