Police arrested a 17 year old youth who robbed three women using machete at Ara Damansara area which his act recorded in CCTV and later viraled in social media.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din confirming the arrest said acting on a tip-off, the suspect was arrested at an apartment in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong yesterday.

Mohd Zani said the police will request a remand order to facilitate investigation for the youth today.

Following the incident, police patrol squad spotted the Honda Accord believed to be used by the youth in the robbery around Desa Ria area.

However, when the police team ordered the youth to stop, he rammed into the police patrol car, which prompted the police to trigger five shots in order to stop the vehicle but the suspect still managed to escape.

The car used by the suspect was reported stolen in Kelana Jaya on Sept 23, later found abandon at Desa Mentari, Petaling Jaya.
