Attorney-General Apandi Ali said he will look at the investigation paper on former anti-graft agency director Bahri Mohamad Zain.
When contacted by Malaysia Outlook via Whatsapp, Apandi said, “At the moment, I am not in the country and on official business, but will see the investigation paper upon my return to Malaysia”.
On Friday, Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed that a police report was lodged against former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Bahri, alleging that he had abused his power while in office.
In the police report, it was alleged that Bahri had abused his power to stifle investigations into a police report lodged against his wife.
Two police reports were made against Bahri in Kelantan and Putrajaya.
The police have completed their investigations and the investigations papers have been submitted to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) pending further instruction.
Meanwhile, it is also learnt from his text message that Apandi will also look at the investigation paper of DAP councillor M. Satees’ seditious posting on Facebook against the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
Satees is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
In his Facebook posting, Satees allegedly “told off” the Johor Sultan that the latter had no power to stop anyone from taking part in peaceful assemblies in Johor.
