KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak has urged Malaysians to reflect on the government’s achievements over the last five years.
In the run-up to the general election, he told the people to judge Barisan Nasional (BN) by its performance, not empty rhetoric.
He said after winning the 13th general election, BN had focused more on running the country than on attacking its political opponents.
“We cannot ‘main politik’ (play politics) every single day of our lives. There comes a time when we need to do some work,” he said in a blog post last night.
Adding that BN was a people-centred government, Salleh said the people were the “boss” and would judge it at the ballot box.
“That is why we always have the people’s welfare at heart,” he said, adding that it was easy to make false and unachievable promises but harder to deliver them.
However, he said, BN had delivered what it promised as proven by the coalition’s track record. – Bernama
