GEORGE TOWN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is currently in Penang to assess the flood situation in the state as well as to visit flood victims.
Accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, both were greeted upon arrival by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at the Butterworth Air Force base.
According to Bernama, Najib was given a briefing by Penang state secretary Datuk Seri Farizan Idrus at the Seberang Perai Tengah District and Land Office.
Najib will then make his way to Kampung Tanjung Putus in Permatang Pauh and Masjid Nyior Sebatang in Tasek Gelugor to visit residents affected by the floods.
Based on photographs shared by Najib on his Facebook page, he also met Permatang Pauh member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. – MO
