Playboy founder Hugh Hefner dies at 91

FOUNDER of Playboy magazine, Hugh Hefner, passed away at the Playboy Mansion of natural causes.

Hefner was 91 and died of natural causes, according to a statement by Playboy Enterprises, as reported by CNBC.

Hefner has long made the Playboy Mansion his home, situated in the Holmby Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Almost always in his signature red robe, Hefner started Playboy magazine in 1953.

According to the statement, Hefner is survived by his wife Crystal and children Cooper, David, Marston and Christie.

He was born in Chicago in 1926 and apart from being associated with pretty ladies who donned the centrefolds and covers of the Playboy magazines, Hefner was also an active political activist and a philanthropist. – MO
