Lim Goh Tong’s widow passes away

KUALA LUMPUR: The widow of Genting Group founder Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, passed away today at 88.

According to the New Straits Times, Puan Sri Lee Kim Hua’s passing was confirmed by a company source.

Lim, died in 2007, after which Lee inherited more than RM21 billion, becoming one of the richest woman in Malaysia.

She leaves behind three sons and three daughters.

Meanwhile, Datuk Ter Leong Yap told Bernama that Lee was a pillar of strength to the Genting Group and successfully brought up and educated the next generation to sustain and expand the multi-billion ringgit business empire built up by the late Lim in 1965.

The President of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) said, “Under the leadership of Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Lee’s second son, Genting Group has been doing very well both at home and abroad.” – MO
