Sir Roger Moore dies after short battle with cancer

He was James Bond, Lord Brett Sinclair and Simon Templar.

Sir Roger Moore portrayed all three iconic characters and will forever be remembered as a remarkable British actor.

Yesterday, he passed away at age 89 in Switzerland after ‘a short but brave battle with cancer’.

His death was announced by his family, as reported by The UK Guardian.

Apart from portraying the character of 007, Moore starred alongside Tony Curtis in the television series The Persuaders as Lord Sinclair.

Not only that, Moore was also the lead actor in the series The Saint where he brought Templar to life.

He was knighted with CBE in 2003 and was also a Unicef goodwill ambassador.

The actor leaves behind his wife of 15 years Kristina Tholstrup and three children.
