The King was conferred Purple Beret, Trimedia badge

His Majesty the King, Sultan Muhammad V has been conferred the Honorary Purple Beret and Trimedia badge.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V was conferred the Honorary Purple Beret and Trimedia badge in conjunction with his visit to Royal Malaysian Navy Special Force (Paskal) base in Lumut today.

He was presented with the beret and honorary certificate by army chief General Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and Navy Chief Admiral Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin during a ceremony aboard KD Lekiu.

The Purple Beret was handed by Capt Anuar Alias who was part of the peacekeeping mission in Angola in the 1990s.

Paskal commander First Admiral Datuk Jamalludin Mohd Saman presented the badge.

Sultan Muhammad V had earlier watched a battle demonstration by Paskal team onboard the ship.

The Purple Beret is an honour awarded to rulers and government leaders for their contribution to the development of Paskal.
