Twelve more students, aged between 16 and 17, who were believed to be involved in Geng 24 activities in Klang, were detained in several arrests made since Saturday until yesterday.
Selangor Crime Investigation Department chief SAC Fadzil Ahmat said the individuals arrested included a 17-year-old responsible for recently holding the gang’s party at the compounds of a school in Klang.
“Also seized were gangster items, including swastika T-shirts and several posters,” he told reporters here today.
According to Fadzil, the arrest of the 12 suspects brought the total to 53 students arrested so far for their involvement in Geng 24.
“From those arrested, only three are still being held under remand, while the rest have been released on police bail,” he added.
On April 20, two videos of Geng 24 members causing a riot outside a school in Klang became viral and following the incident, police have made several arrests since April 21 to track down the gang members. – Bernama
