DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang should retire from politics for good and make way to “gentleman politician” Tan Seng Giaw to lead the party.
Barisan Nasional (BN) strategic communications chief Abdul Rahman Dahlan said Kit Siang should accept his responsibility for failing to topple Barisan Nasional in the last 13 general elections.
The minister said Kit Siang should stop his blame game on others for his own faults, hence retire to make way for long-serving DAP vice-chairman Tan.
The BN leader was commenting on Kit Siang’s claim that he was being demonised by several news outlets in a campaign to kill his political career before the 14th General Election (GE14).
“Tan Seng Giaw is known as a gentleman politician and a man with principles, unlike Kit Siang.
“Kit Siang’s own actions have demonised himself and therefore he should not blame others.
“Tan Seng Giaw is even more popular than Kit Siang and accepted by all ethnic groups in the country,” said Rahman in a statement.
