Ng Pei Ven would be charged in court tomorrow under Section 44 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving under the influence of drugs and causing the death or injury to any persons, according to the Star Online.
Citing a police spokesman, Ng would be charged at the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate’s court.
If convicted, she could face a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and RM20,000 fine.
Ng, 19, made headlines recently for driving against traffic along the North-South Expressway (PLUS).
In the incident, Mohamad Fandi Rosli who was driving a Perodua Kelisa was killed after her car hit several other vehicles at KM134 of the expressway near Permatang Pauh.
Previously, Ng was charged at the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate’s Court under Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for consuming a dangerous drug.
