MIC Youth chief C Sivarraajh has blasted the Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) for merely blaming Barisan Nasional (BN) for its shortcomings but not doing anything significant within the Selangor state.
Sivarraajh said that the people in Selangor have frequently experienced water cuts which disrupt the daily affairs.
“ I myself affected by the frequent water cuts in Selangor.
“Sometimes you feel miserable when you open the tap and water does not flow.
“Water management is one area still under the control of the State government,” said Sivarrajh.
What rubbish! Stop the blame game!, added Sivarraajh.
“If they cannot manage the state, they might as well handover Selangor to the Federal government.
“They know that water is essential to human life and the people expect them to buck up and perform on providing clean water as well as better water management,” stressed Sivarraajh.
The contamination is traced to Sungai Buah in Negri Sembilan, and relevant authorities there have been informed.
The Semenyih water treatment plant was closed three times last month following the similar odour pollution, resulting in the closure of a firm which was allegedly operating illegally near a river.
Today’s closure affects areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang.
