Opposition lawmakers today created an uproar at Parliament while Prime Minister Najib Razak delivering Budget 2017.
The ruckus started when Najib explained that some quarters are claiming the government administration is just a ‘sandiwara’ (ploy) and operating the government without a proper financial substance.
Even Najib told there is a leader who alleged Malaysia is going through an economic thunderstorm.
This made Opposition lawmakers to stood up and show ‘Who is MO1’ placards.
Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia tried to restore calmness but opposition lawmakers were trying to create unrest.
Pandikar Amin warned the Opposition lawmakers to stop their behavior as allocated time will be given next week for them to debate on the Budget 2017.
Then the speaker told the Opposition lawmakers who are unhappy to leave the parliament house, leaving some of the opposition lawmakers to leave abruptly.
Among the lawmakers who staged a walk out are sacked former deputy Prime Minister Muhyidin Yassin, Teresa Kok (Seputeh), Gobind Singh Deo (Puchong), Lim Kit Siang (Gelang Patah), Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (Permatang Pauh), Nurul Izzah (Lembah Pantai)
Najib then told the house this is the opposition behavior and hope the people will be able to judge their characters.
